We collect information when you register online or update your account, log-in, place an order, opt-in to receive our emails, shop online, participate in a contest, promotion or survey, or join our social networking sites.When you provide an email and place an order on our website you may receive a newsletter from us which you can opt out of at any time.
When you place an order on our website, we use this information to process and track your order and contact you via email or phone if we have any questions or concerns regarding your order. If you provide an email address during checkout, you will also receive order confirmation and shipping status emails.

Purchasing goods online - This part sets out some terms which apply to your purchase of goods from us through the website.
You make an offer to purchase a product from us (your "order") by completing the staged process on the website as set out below:

Your order only constitutes an offer to purchase good(s) from us, and does not form a binding contract until accepted by us. Where you order more than one product your order contains a series of offers for each product individually. On receipt of your order, we will send you an order acknowledgement email to the email address which you provide in the order process.
This order invoice email will contain your order number, details of the good(s) ordered and a delivery estimate. Note that this email is only to acknowledge that your order has been received, and is not acceptance by us of any offers to purchase goods.
We must receive full payment of the price of the goods before we can accept any offers. Where you select to pay by credit or debit card we will process the payment at the time of preparing your goods for despatch.
An offer made by you to purchase a product shall only be deemed to be accepted by us when we despatch that product to you and send you an order despatch email which includes details of the product.
We reserve the right to refuse any offers in an order prior to acceptance. If a product is not available we will include details of the unavailable product in the order despatch email.
A product which is not available will not be included in the order despatch email.
Please also note that, although every effort is made to photograph Madia & Matilda items accurately and describe Madia & Matilda products in detail, I cannot guarantee every computer monitor will accurately depict the actual color of the merchandise. Our prices for UK and International are quoted in British pounds inclusive of VAT.
Student Discount - Madia & Matilda offers a 20% discount to students that can present a valid photo ID. Madia & Matilda student discount code is subject to approval which shall be verified please email and provide an image of your current student ID via your university or collage issued email address or NUS card. Please allow up to 2 business days for a response. This will enable us to provide you with your exclusive discount code.
Student discount is applied on full priced merchandise only, which does not include special promotions or other branded goods for the discount to be valid
Voucher Terms - Redeemable online and instore, Valid on full price items, Please note, your gift card is equivalent to cash and like cash if lost, stolen or damaged it cannot be replaced.
- Your gift card is non returnable and cannot be redeemed or
exchanged for cash.
- All refunds of goods or services purchased with your gift card will be made in accordance with Madia & Matilda refund policy. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Third Party Sites - Madia & Matilda may use and promote services provided by outside third parties. However, even if the third party is affiliated with Madia & Matilda we do not control these services and make no representations regarding these persons or entities. We are not liable or responsible for the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, reliability or availability of, any such parties
Order forms, Work Specification and Defects - For each garment order a detailed description will be prepared by the consultant, recording the customer’s measurements and garment alteration instructions (“The Instructions”) agreed with you and added to the order form. We will go through the order form with the client at any fitting sessions. If further alteration(s) are required, this additional work will be charged accordingly.
On collection the customer is obliged to try on the garment and immediately inspect it thoroughly for any defects. We cannot accept responsibility for any further or remedial alterations connected to the original work more than 14 days after collection and final settlement
Alterations cancellation Period
Deposits and Payment - We work by a deposit system with all prices and estimates quoted and recorded. full payment is required at or prior to collection or dispatch. In most cases full payment or a 50% deposit is required prior to commencement of any alteration. Unless otherwise stated. Once your measurements have been taken and a fabric, design and any personalisation has been decided upon you have 36 hours to cancel your order via email or in writing. If no cancellation has been made during this period this is then taken as a confirmed order and your order will be processed & handed to the in-house manufacturers.
Alterations Returns - Due to the nature of our business being sustainable we can not accept a cancellation after this point and under no circumstance will a refund be issued for a deposit of a bespoke item that has been made to measure.
When booking your consultation we will email you all the details of your booking as well as an invoice for the full amount of the consultation. Once this is paid- the booking is confirmed.
If you cancel with less than 36 hours’ notice, we reserve the right to charge the full cost of the appointment.
a. For us to meet your styling needs we appreciate you being open and honest with us.
b. All our consultations are initiated with a Personal profile questionnaire. Our request is that that you complete your personal profile honestly so we are able to meet your styling expectations.
a. We pride ourselves in delivering a professional tailor made service to meet your styling needs. We treat all clients with respect and expect the same in return.

a. Our fee is not fixed and is dependent on the service required and the duration of your consultation. Once agreed you will be invoiced accordingly. Please see our fees page.
a. We require full payment of your invoice 5 working days before your consultation. When your payment has been received your consultation will be confirmed.
b. We do not accept cheque payments. Our preferred method of payment is via bank transfer; bank details are on your invoice.
c. We are unable to guarantee your consultation if your payment is not received within the specified period.
a. Cancellations must be made 48 hours before the agreed date of your consultation.
a. Refunds are applicable if requested within the specified cancellation notice of 36 hours.
b. Cancellations made after this period will not be refunded.
a. Travel expenses may be necessary for the execution of your consultation and is dependent on your location. This includes rail, taxi, bus, airfares and car mileage in a company or personal vehicle. Car mileage will be charged at £0.50 pence per mile. Expenses are in addition to our fees and the cost of your garments.
Returning goods by post - It’s easy to return your item(s) by post. Simply complete the enclosed returns form with your name, address, and order number. Ensure your goods are securely wrapped and the completed returns form is enclosed. Take the goods, along with the dispatch note, to the Post Office. Make sure you obtain a ‘proof of postage’ certificate which you should retain until you’ve received your refund. It usually takes up to 14 working days from the postage date to receive items and process refunds. Under busy periods this could take longer. If after 30 working days you have not received an email from us. Contact us via the contact details below and we will be more than happy to answer your questions as best as we can.

Terms and conditions - In regards to our Curated Brands We reserve the right not to submit your order to the Curated Brand, and the Curated Brands reserve the right not to accept your order if, for example, the product ordered is out of stock, has been withdrawn or is otherwise not available, or if we are unable to obtain authorisation for your payment
Delivery times - This may vary depending on the availability of the products and your delivery address. Delivery times are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed. The products will be delivered to you directly by the Curated Brands so your order may be delivered in multiple deliveries.
If no one is available at your address to take delivery, our delivery partner will leave you a note and you will need to contact them to rearrange delivery
Events outside of our control - We at Madia & Matilda and the Curated Brands will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations to you if such failure or delay is caused by an event outside of our control.
As explained above, the contract for the purchase of the products is between you and the relevant Curated Brands. We are authorised by the relevant Curated Brands to conclude the contract on its behalf but we are not a party to that contract and you are not purchasing the products from us.
Being a sustainable company, we select all all Curated Brands under the premises that they are ethical and for Curated Brands using the Website have and maintain reasonable business policies which comply with our business policies. We cannot, however, be responsible for the Curated Brands business policies. If you are unhappy with the product or service you have received from a Curated Brands, you should contact us and we will liaise with the relevant Curated Brands on your behalf to try and resolve the issue.
Further information about the Curated Brands and the products each brand offer is available in the " Shop Unique > Curated Brands section". All information is provided by the Curated Brands, there may be cases where errors occur. If we discover an error in the price of any products that you have ordered, we will inform you of this as soon as possible and, acting on behalf of the Curated Brands, give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you, your order will be treated as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the products, you will receive a full refund.
Depending on your delivery address, different taxation rules and additional charges may apply. If you are shipping items from a Curated Brands outside of your country, you may need to pay import duties upon receipt of the products. We will never intentionally allow a Curated Brands to offer its products on madia & Matilda if such products are sourced from countries which are in breach of these principles. We also look to the Curated Brands and other suppliers to instill these principles when dealing with their own supplier base. Because of the sometimes complex nature of the Curated Brands and other suppliers' supply chain, it is not always possible to monitor and control the conditions of each individual involved in the production of the products. However, as we continue to grow, we recognise the importance of being proactive and doing everything within our power to support the rights of those involved in the manufacture of the products.
